Kathleen A. Amaral, 86, of Hope Street, passed away after a brief illness on September 5, 2024, at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of George Amaral.

Born in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter the late Thomas and Mary G. (Walsh) Benedetti. In addition to her husband, she is survived by: her daughters Susan (Mitchell) Federico of Warren, and Lisa Amaral of West Warwick; grandchildren Joshuah Federico, Jason Federico, Mary Amaral, and Kenneth Amaral; great-grandchildren Giavanna Federico and Braxton Federico; and daughter-in-law Anne Amaral of Pawtucket.

She was predeceased by her son, Christopher Amaral.

Mrs. Amaral was a 1955 class graduate of Warren High School. She was employed by the town of Warren for 25 years as assistant tax collector.

Friends and family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, September 26, 10 AM at St. Mary of the Bay Church, 645 Main Street, Warren, RI 02885. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Bristol, RI 02809.
