Lawrence Macedo Obituary

Lawrence Macedo, 86, of Bay View Avenue, passed away on November 19, 2023. He was the husband of Mary D. (Santos) Macedo. 


Born in Rabo de Peixe, Sao Miguel, Azores, he was the son of Manuel and Hilda (Horta) Macedo. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Lawrence (Helene) Macedo of Cranston, Michael Macedo of Florida, and Lori (the late Les Hubbard) Hubbard of Warren; grandchildren Sara Macedo, Nathan Macedo, Jordan Hubbard, and Dylan Hubbard; and siblings Mary A. (Ronald) Langlais of Warwick, Mary E. (Jaime) Simao of Warren, and Thomas (Margaret) Macedo of New Hampshire. 


He was predeceased by his sister Mary F. Leal, formerly of California. 


Mr. Macedo attended Bristol Schools. He was employed by Rico Machine for 25 years as a machinist, then as a custodian for Bristol School Department for 10 years.  


Friends and family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, November 27th, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood Street.


A graveside committal service will take place on Saturday, September 14, 10:30 AM in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bristol RI.


Arrangements are with the George C. Lima Funeral Home.
