Leonora Carmo (Garrafa) Costa, 96, of Woodlawn Avenue passed away May 31, 2021. She was the wife of the late Edward Costa.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Marcelino and Maria Isabel (Damazio) Garrafa.  She is survived by her children: Edward (Sally) Costa Jr. of San Diego CA; Stephen (Rhonda) Costa of Spring Hill, FL; and Lenore J.(Paula Cabral) Costa of Bristol and was the mother of the late Bruce Costa.  She was the grandmother of: Lance, Lowell, Brandon, Nathan, Stephen, Corey, and Meghan; step-grandmother of: Monica, and Valleri and great grandmother of  Chase, Olivia, Cristiano, Elias and Emma.   She was the sister of Hilda Silvia and the late Frank Garrafa and Mabel Bento.

Mrs. Costa was a graduate of Colt Memorial High School and was the owner of Duffy’s News along with her husband for 30 years before retiring.

Calling hours are Saturday, June 26th, 8:30 – 10:30 AM at the George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High Street with a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth Church, 577 Wood Street.  Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
