Leonora “Lee” Rogers, 96, of Cole Street, passed away on December 4, 2023, at The Friendly Home. She was the wife of the late Henry Rogers.
Born in Bristol, she was the daughter of the late Annibal “Neeb” and Jessie (Teixeira) Estrella. She is survived by her children Daniel Rogers (Janice) of Cumberland, and Nancy Bush (Kevin) of Cumberland; grandchildren Kristen Rogers, Julie Rogers, and Rebecca Bush; and great grandson Eli Rogers.
She was predeceased by her sister, Cecilia E. Wilson.
Mrs. Rogers was a 1944 graduate of Colt Memorial High School. She was a secretary for John Andrade Insurance Agency for 30 years. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Sodality of St. Elizabeth’s Church.
Lee loved spending time with her family. She and Henry enjoyed traveling to K of C conventions and visiting Kevin and Nancy at their worldwide duty stations. They were happy snowbirds and enjoyed their time in Florida for 14 years. She was a big fan of PGA golf on TV. Lee was a very devout Catholic and a strong believer in Jesus.
Her funeral services will be held Friday, December 8th, 10 AM from the George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High Street, with a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth Church, 577 Wood Street. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Calling hours are Thursday, 5-7 PM.
