Liberia M. (Perry) Silva Obituary
Liberia M. (Perry) Silva, 82, of West Warwick, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 9, 2025. Born in São Miguel, Azores, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Maria dos Anjos (Ramos) Perry.
Liberia worked for many years as a cashier at Almac’s Supermarket. Ever determined to better herself, she returned to school at the age of 50 to earn her GED – a testament to her perseverance and dedication.
Deeply devoted to her family, Liberia cherished time spent with her siblings, mother, and aunts, always making the effort to stay connected. Her strong Catholic faith was a guiding force in her life, and she faithfully attended Mass every Sunday.
She is survived by her two sons, Joseph Silva and his wife Carol, and Steven Silva; grandchildren: Joe Brian (Courtney) Silva and Carolynn Maryjo Silva; her siblings: Mary C. DaRosa, Mary Emily Rego, Lillian Perry, Olivia Rego, Mary Fatima Couto, and Arthur Perry, Jr.; numerous nieces and nephews; and her aunt: Mary Lou Cabral.
Liberia was predeceased by her son, Brian Silva.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, July 30, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood Street, Bristol, RI 02809. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
