Louis De Almeida

Louis A. De Almeida, 64, of Thames Street, passed away on February 19, 2023 at Roger Williams Medical Center.

Born in Ponta Delgada, São Miguel, Azores, he was the son of Renato De Almeida and the late Maria Inez (Barreiro) De Almeida.  In addition to his father, Mr. De Almeida is survived by his life partner Leanor Barreiro, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. He was the brother of Walter (Isaura) De Almeida, Mario (Zelia) De Almeida, and Fernando De Almeida.

Mr. De Almeida was a graduate of Bristol High School, Class of 1975 as well as the New England Technical Institute. He was employed as an auto body technician for Jake Kaplan Jaguar for many years before retiring.

Calling hours will be held Friday, February 24th, 9 – 10:30 AM from the George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High Street followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood Street. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
