Lucia Freitas Dias Pereira

Lucia  Pereira, 79, of Coggeshall Avenue passed away on August 27, 2021 at Miriam Hospital.  She was the wife of the late Francisco Pereira.

Born in Fazenda dos Lajes, Flores, Azores, Portugal she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Maria (de Freitas) Dias. She is survived by her children: Bernadette Bettencourt and her husband Isauro; Maria Moniz; Francisco M. Pereira; Marylou Legendre; grandchildren; Mark Moniz, Gregory Pereira, Samantha Bethune, Stephanie Spencer, Krystal Metivier, Benjamin Pereira, Tim Pereira, Dean Metivier, Andrew Bettencourt, Aaron Waldek and 8 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Pereira was educated in Portugal and employed by Robin Rug before retiring.

Her funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 1st, 9 AM at the George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High Street with a Prayer Service  led by Pastor Isauro Bettencourt and Pastor John Amaral at 10 AM.  Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
