Luis Borges Almeida

Luis Borges Almeida, 78, of Franklin Street passed away on December 14, 2020 at home.  He was the husband of Maria daConceicao (Costa) Almeida.  

Born in Fenais da Luz, St. Michael, Portugal, he was the son of the late Joao and Diamantina (Borges) Almeida.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Maria Chaves and her husband Alan of Fall River, MA; Mike Almeida and his wife Felicia Soares of Bristol; and his grandson Nicholas Chaves.  He was the brother of the late John Almeida and Fernando Almeida.

Mr. Almeida was educated in Portugal and employed as the Facilities Manager at Roger Williams University for 25 years before retiring.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday, December 19th, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church 577 Wood Street. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground.
