Manuel J. Baganha, 73, of Hope Street, passed away on December 3, 2023, at Rhode Island Hospital.  He was the husband of Rosalina (Estrella) Baganha.

Born in Agua do Pau, St. Michael, Azores, he was the son of the late Manuel and Maria do Esperito Santo (Branco) Oliveira. In addition to his wife, he is survived by: his daughters Sandy Baganha of Riverside and Diane (Joshua) Snead of Warwick; grandchildren Tevin Baganha, Jarid Baganha, Jonathan Baganha, Dylan Arruda, Brianna Baganha, Kristine Love, Camron Snead, and Janessa Snead; great grandchildren Nova Baganha, T.J. Baganha, Mya Baganha, Kingston Love, Mila Love, Alexi Perez, and Adeline Perez; and siblings Conceicao Pontes of New Bedford, MA, and Zulmira Cunha of Bermuda.

He was predeceased by his son Michael Baganha.

Mr. Baganha was educated in Portugal. He was a self-employed painter for 20 years before retiring. 

His funeral services will be held Saturday, December 9th, 9:30 – 10:30 AM from the George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High Street, with a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth Church, 577 Wood Street. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
