Manuel Correia Silva, 84, of State Street passed away on July 11, 2021 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of Cidalia Maria (Simao) Silva.
Born in Capelo, Faial, Azores, Portugal, he was son of the late Joaquim Correia daSilva and Maria Moitoso Correia. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Cynthia Doig and her husband Bill; granddaughters Corissa Doig and Corinne David and her husband Tyler. He was the brother of Joseph (Theresa) Silva; Antonette (Jose) Goulart; Beatrice Costa and the late Alvarino Silva and Constantino daSilva. He was the brother-in-law of Maria daSilva and also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews.
Mr. Silva was educated in Portugal and the owner of Cumberland Seafood before retiring.
His funeral services will be held Friday, July 16th, 10 AM from the George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High Street with a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood Street. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
