Manuel Francisco Mendonca

Manuel Francisco Mendonca, 78, of Bourne Street passed away on November 25, 2020 at Rhode Island Hospital.  He was the husband of Bernadette (Santos) Mendonca.  

Born in Furnas, St. Michael, he was the son of the late Jose and Virginia (Pereira) Mendonca.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children:  Doreen Dwyer and her husband Peter of Bristol; Michael Mendonca and his wife Dawn of Bristol; and grandchildren:  Peter J. Dwyer Jr, Noah M. Mendonca and Lucas A. Mendonca.  He was the brother of Victor Mendonca of Cambridge, Jose Mendonca of Bristol, Laura Medeiros of Bristol and Antone Mendonca of Bristol.

Mr. Mendonca was educated in Portugal and employed by Converse before retiring.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Tuesday, December 1st, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood Street. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground.

Mask use is required and social distancing guidelines will be followed.
