Manuel Toste Garcia

Manuel Toste Garcia, 86, of Andrews Court passed away on March 15, 2022 at home.  He was the husband of Maria (Neves Duarte) Garcia.  

Born in Fonte Bastarado, Terceira, Portugal, he was the son of the late Manuel and Maria dos Anjos (Toste) Garcia.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons: Luis Garcia and his wife Roseanne of New Jersey; Domingos Garcia and his wife Maria of New Jersey; grandchildren: Ashley Hasslinger and her husband Gregg, Louis Garcia, Jennifer Gasperini and her husband David; and great grandchildren Dylan Amorin and Christopher Amorin. He is also survived by his brothers: Antonio Sequeira and his wife Maria; Domingos Sequeira and his wife Romualda; Francisco Sequeira and his wife Filomena and his sister in law Fatima Sequeira.  He was the father of the late Joseph Garcia and brother of the late Joseph Sequeira.

Mr. Garcia was educated in Portugal and employed by Brunelli Plumbing as well as American Tourister before retiring.

His funeral services will be held Saturday, March 19th, 10 AM from the George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High Street with a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood Street. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
