Margaret Elizabeth (Shell) Kerns

Marge Kerns, 93, of Beach Road, passed away peacefully on August 19th at home surrounded by the people she loved. She was the wife of the late Clifford E Kerns.

Born in Lenoir, NC, she was the daughter of James and Daisy Shell. She is survived by her daughters April Dunbar of Bristol, Sherry Roberston of New Bern, NC, and Marge was the mother of the late George Wayne Kerns. Grandchildren: Renee Stich, Angela Koch, Jeramy Robertson, Colleen Provencher, Sally Bennet, Philip Kerns, Jennifer Oliviera, Stephanie Arruda and the late Cliffie Kerns, a niece Mary Francis Moss and 25 Great Grandchildren.

She was a graduate of Lenoir High School in North Carolina. She was employed by Bell Telephone as an operator for many years, choosing to make a home for her children and husband.

Her funeral services will be held on Monday, August 24th at 10:00am at the George C. Lima Funeral Home, 367 High Street, with prayers from the Pastor of the Refuge Church of Warren, RI. Burial will follow at Newport Memorial Park.
