Maria Eugenia Faria

Maria Eugenia (Cabral Goncalves) Faria, 79, of Franca Drive, passed away on December 5, 2025, at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center. She was the wife of the late Fernando T. Faria.

Born in Rabo de Peixe, St. Michael, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Francisco S. and Adelina Goncalves. She is survived by: her daughter Mary Lou (Urbano) DeAlmeida of Bristol; her grandchildren: Chelsea (Corey) Carvalho, and Brian (Danielle) DeAlmeida; and her siblings: Jose (Adrianna) Goncalves of Canada, Lucia (the late Mariano) De Melo of Canada, Maria dos Anjos (Jose Alfredo) Perreira of Rabo de Peixe, Azores, and Gil Goncalves.

Mrs. Faria was educated in Portugal. She was employed by I Shalom in Warren for 20 years, and later by Silver Creek Nursing Home for an additional 20 years. She loved crocheting and spending time with her family. 

Her funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 8:30 – 9:30 AM from the George C. Lima Funeral Home, 367 High Street, with a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood Street. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
