Maria Margarida (Medeiros) Rodrigues, 74, of Andrews Court, passed away on December 27, 2024, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Humberto M. Rodrigues.

Born in Pico da Pedra, St. Michael, Azores, she was the daughter of Manuel C. and Ema (Alves) C. Medeiros. In addition to her husband, she is survived by: her children Richard Rodrigues of Bristol, and Nicole (Keith) Gomes of Somerset, MA; grandchildren: Keith Gomes, Jr., and Kaelyn Gomes; sister Emily (Armando) Ferreira of Bristol; sister-in-law Fatima Medeiros of Bristol; nieces and nephews: Luis-Jared (Kelly) Medeiros, Abby Ferreira, and Alex Ferreira; and grand-nephew Jared.

She was predeceased by her brother, Luis “Louie” Medeiros.

Margarida was educated in Portugal. She was employed by R & J Manufacturing for many years before retiring. Her joys in life were helping to raise her grandchildren and grand-animals. Margarida had a profound love for helping those around her, such as her family and friends. She also loved her vacation trips to São Miguel, and animals, including the ducks and chickens which she raised in her backyard. One of her most remembered hobbies will be her baking sweet bread for all her family, friends, and the elderly for Easter.

Friends and family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, January 11, at 11 AM at St. Elizabeth's Church, 577 Wood Street.
