Maria Odilia (Gomes) Fernandes

Maria Odilia (Gomes) Fernandes, 71, of Robin Drive passed away on October 19, 2018 at Evergreen Nursing Center.She was the wife of Teotonio Fernandes.

 Born in Relva, St. Michael, she was the daughter of the late Joao and Maria daConceicao Gomes.  She was the mother of Joseph Fernandes of Bristol; grandmother of Zane Fernandes and Khol Fernandes and sister of Joao Gomes and Jose Gomes both of Bristol. Mrs. Fernandes was educated in Portugal and employed by Up Country as a seamstress.

Her funeral services will be held Monday, October 22nd, 10 AM from the George Lima Funeral Home 367 High Street with a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church 577 Wood Street. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground. 

Calling hours are Sunday 2– 6 PM.
