Maria M.(Garcia) Silva, 76, of Perry Street, passed away on April 25, 2023 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Jose Silva.
Born in Salão, Faial, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Luis and Ana (Garcia) Pereira. She is survived by her brother Jose (Maria) Pereira of Fall River and sister Mary I. Pereira of Bristol.
Mrs. Silva was educated in Portugal and employed as a housekeeper at East Bay Manor for 15 years before retiring.
Her funeral services will be held Saturday, April 29th, 10 AM from the George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High Street with a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood Street. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
