Maria da Pedra (Furtado) Lima, 76, of 72 Perry Street passed away on May 30, 2021 at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of Jorge Lima.
Born in Ribeira Seca, Villa Franca do Campo, St. Michael, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Joao and Esmaria (Raposa) Furtado. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons Stephen Lima of Bristol, George Lima of Warren; and granddaughters Sabrina Lima and Brianna Lima. She was the sister of John Furtado, Esmaria Medeiros, Maria do Carmo Rego and the late Albertina Raposa.
She was educated in Portugal and employed as a machine operator at Carol Cable and Hodges Badge before retiring. She was a proud American Citizen who loved cooking for her family and especially her granddaughters.
Calling hours are Wednesday, June 2nd 9:30 - 10:30 AM at the George Lima Funeral Home 367 High Street with a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church 577 Wood Street. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
