Maria dasNeves (Cordeiro) Ferreira

Maria dasNeves (Cordeiro) Ferreira, 89, of Roma Street passed away on June 29, 2019 at home. She was the wife of the late John Ferreira.  

Born in Relva, St. Michael, she was the daughter of the late Joao Cordeiro Vigia and Rosalina doCarmo Botelho.  She is survived by her daughters Rosa Medeiros and her husband Edwardo of Bristol and Maria N. Cordeiro and her husband John of Swansea MA; grandchildren Nicole Calvert, Priscilla Cordeiro; and great grandchildren Jacqueline Medeiros and Alexander Calvert.  She was the sister of Alexandrina Constancia and the late Angelina Oliveira, Jose Cordeiro and Joao Cordeiro. 

Mrs. Ferreira was educated in Portugal and employed by American Tourister and Chez Moi Bridal Boutique before retiring.

Her funeral services will be held Wednesday  July 3rd, 8 AM from the George Lima Funeral Home 367 High Street with a Mass of Christian Burial, 9 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church 577 Wood Street. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
