Maria Angelina Pereira, 91, of San Juan Drive, passed away on July 7, 2024, at Newport Hospital. She was the wife of the late Louis A. Pereira.

Born in Pom Voada, Relva, São Miguel, she was the daughter of the late Jose A. and Angelina (Medeiros) Cordeiro. She is survived by: her children Joe (Maria S.) Pereira of Bristol, Mary Goulart of Bristol, and Carlos Pereira of Bristol; grandchildren Raquel Elmera, Suzane Pereira, Louie Pereira, Cliff Pereira, Tina Pereira, Ashley Goulart Alexander, and Raymond Goulart III; great-grandchildren Samantha Mann, Chelsea Mann, Hayley Mann, Liana Pereira, Luna Pereira, Lucas Pereira, Olivia Pereira, Riley Dawson, Sophie Elmera, Sydney Elmera, Ava Rae Goulart, Alana Constant, Kennedy Alexander, Reagan Alexander, Charlie Alexander; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her daughters, Maria da Conceicão Cordeiro, and Olga Ferro.

Mrs. Pereira was educated in Portugal. She was a stitcher for Converse for 18 years and I Shalom for 10 years before retiring.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, July 13th, 8:30 – 10:30 AM from the George C. Lima Funeral Home, 367 High Street, with a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood Street. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
