Maria Eduarda Cordeiro, 90, of Magnolia Street, passed away on December 21, 2023, at Dawn Hill Home for Rehabilitation.  She was the wife of the late Raul Cordeiro.

Born in Lagoa, St. Michael, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Emilia (Vieira) Ventura. She is survived by her children: Antonio (Angie) Cordeiro of Bristol, Maria Eduarda (Mario Jorge) Carreiro of Bristol, Joao Manuel (Trish) Cordeiro of Bristol, Raul Alberto (Luisa) Cordeiro of Bristol, Durval Jorge (Heather) Cordeiro of Bristol, and Barbara (Edgardo) Soares of Bristol; grandchildren Karina Cordeiro, TJ Cordeiro, Kelly Carreiro, Heather Cockcroft, Candance Cordeiro, Victoria Cordeiro, Emily Cordeiro, Adrianna Cordeiro, Tommy Cordeiro, Marlaina Cordeiro, Courtney Cordeiro, Michael Cordeiro, Ethan Soares, and Makayla Soares; great grandchildren Eliana Cordeiro, Mila Cordeiro, Mari Azevedo, Milani Azevedo, Dean Cockcroft, Blake Cockcroft, Mekai Cordeiro, River Cardoza, Forrest Cardoza, Rosara Cordeiro, Marlowe Soares, Monroe Soares, and Monti Soares; and sisters Maria Cecilia Ventura of Lagoa, and Lurdes Ventura of Lagoa.

Mrs. Cordeiro was educated in Portugal and employed by American Tourister for 20 years before retiring.

Her funeral services will be held Saturday, December 30th, 8:30 -10:30 AM from the George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High Street, with a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood Street. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
