Maria Julieta Mota, 94, of Bristol, passed away peacefully, joining her husband and daughter, on July 12, 2024, at Silver Creek Manor. She was the wife of the late Francisco C. Mota.

Born in Pico da Pedra, São Miguel, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Luis Alves and Maria da Trindade (Ferreira) Tavares. She is survived by: her children Dina Costa of Riverside, Eliana (Artur) Mello of TN, Germana (Carlos) Raposo of Rehoboth, MA, Mary Jo (Mike) Santos of Bristol, Julieta Cabral of Riverside, Frank Cabral of Bristol, Lucio (Kim) Cabral of Warren, Pedro (Nancy) Cabral of Ontario, Canada, Aura (Fernando) Raposo of Bristol, Luis (Diane) Cabral of Riverside, and Kevin (Gina) Mota of Bristol; grandchildren George, Brian, Victor, Lisa, Jason, Kelly, Lynda, Nicole, Michael, Jennifer, Wayne, Bethany, Jonathan, Matthew, Carissa, Carrie, Callie, Carlyn, Chelsi, Nicholas, Alyssa, Nathan, Joshua, and Zachary; great-grandchildren Olivia, Lexis, Micayla, Jason, Haley, Ava, Savanna, Levi, Austin, Aidan, Gage, Corben, Peter Michael, Owen, Van, Ryann, Rosaura, Lily, Hazel, Charley, and Paige; and brother Manuel Tavares of Canada.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Fatima Tavares, and five brothers.

Mrs. Mota was educated in Portugal. She was a homemaker.
