Maria dos Anjos Cesario

Maria dos Anjos (Cabral) Cesario, 92, of Sherry Avenue, passed away on May 5, 2024, at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center. She was the wife of Jose B. Cesario.

Born in Pico da Pedra, Sao Miguel, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Francisco and Isabel (Ventura) Cabral. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children Maria J. Cesario of Bristol and Carlos (Nikki) Cesario of Bristol; and her grandson Christopher Cesario of Maine.

She was predeceased by her siblings Manuel Cabral, Guilhermina Cabral, Maria Jose Cabral, Conceicao DaPonte, and Maria Milhomens.

Mrs. Cesario was educated in Portugal. She was employed as a stitcher for I Shalom for 26 years before retiring. She was an avid sewer of clothing, knitter and crocheter. She loved spending time with her sisters working on sewing clothing and crocheting tablecloths and dollies. She loved spending time with her extended family and cooking food for all to enjoy. She was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth’s Church.

Her funeral services will be held Saturday, May 11th, 10AM from George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High Street, with a Mass of Chistian Burial, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood Street. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday, 6 – 8 PM.
