Mary Helen (Rodrigues) Barbosa

Mary Helen (Rodrigues) Barbosa, 93, of Bristol passed away on July 27, 2020 at Silver Creek Manor. She was the wife of the late John Henrique Barbosa.

Daughter of the late John and Serafina (Martins) Rodrigues, Mary was born on Bourne Street in the home where she lived for almost her entire life.  She was the sister of Deolinda Alves and the late Anthony Rodrigues, John Rodrigues and Eugene Rodrigues.  She was the aunt of Cynthia Alves, Stephen Alves, Joseph Alves, John Alves, Patricia Rodrigues, Janice Rodrigues, Elaine Anderson, Anthony Rodrigues, Jennifer Alves, Michael Istvanko, and Ron Anderson and great aunt of Saxon Alves and Braden Alves.

Mrs. Barbosa was educated in Bristol and employed through the years by Royal Robes, M&R Sportsware and Thurston Sails before retiring.

Helen loved to cook and bake and enjoyed sharing her creations with family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday, August 1st, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church 577 Wood Street. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground.
