Mary Jose (Alves) Brum

Mary Jose (Alves) Brum, 89, of Manchester Street passed away on February 27, 2020 at home. Born in Bristol, she was the daughter of the late Jose Alves Martins and Rufina Carreiro Alves.  

She is survived by her children Anthony Brum and his wife Aiko of Hawaii, Elizabeth Palumbo and her husband Steven of Bristol and grandchildren Christopher Brum, Kimberly D. Brum, Phillip Rose, Steven Palumbo Jr., and Nicholas Palumbo. She was the sister of Teresa Almeida and the late Joseph Alves Jr. and Rachel Carreiro.

Mrs. Brum was educated in Portugal and employed by Bristol Manufacturing and Roger Williams University before retiring.

Her funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 3rd, 10 AM from the George Lima Funeral Home 367 High Street with a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church 577 Wood Street. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
