Mary Carmel (Ferreira) Goulart

Mary Carmel (Ferreira) Goulart, 83,  of Hope Street passed away on August 7, 2021 at Rhode Island Hospital.  She was the wife of the late Raymond Joseph Goulart.  

Born in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Elvira (Sousa) Ferreira.  She is survived by her sons: Raymond Goulart Jr. of Bristol; Ferdinand Goulart and his wife Rhonda of Tiverton; Joseph Goulart of Bristol; and was the mother of the late David Goulart.  She was the grandmother of Ashley Alexander, Raymond Goulart III, Jamie Gifford, Erin Goulart and great grandmother of Eva Goulart, Alana Constant, Kenneth Alexander, Reagan Alexander, Charlie Alexander, Freddie Gifford, and Norma Gifford.  She was the sister of Manuel “Red” Ferreira and the late John Ferreira, Fred Ferreira, Elvira Santos and Julie Ferreira.

Mrs. Ferreira was a graduate of Colt Memorial High School and was a homemaker. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth’s Church and a member of the Holy Rosary Sodality.

Her funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 11th, 10 AM from the George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High Street with a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood Street. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
