Mary Macedo, 88, formerly of Bay View Avenue, passed away on June 4, 2024, at Silver Creek Manor. She was the wife of the late Lawrence Macedo.
Born in Bristol, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Evangelina (Pacheco) Santos. She is survived by: her children Lawrence (Helene) Macedo of Cranston, Michael Macedo of Florida, and Lori (the late Les Hubbard) Hubbard of Warren; grandchildren Sara Macedo, Nathan Macedo, Jordan Hubbard, and Dylan Hubbard; and brothers David Santos of Connecticut, and Daniel Santos of North Carolina.
She was predeceased by her siblings: Joseph Pacheco and Elvira Costa.
Mrs. Macedo attended Bristol Schools. She was employed by Almacs Grocery Store for over 20 years as well as Clement’s Market before retiring. Mrs. Macedo was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth’s Church and a former member of the Holy Rosary Sodality.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, June 8th, 9:30 – 10:30 AM from the George C. Lima Funeral Home, 367 High Street, with a Mass of Christian Burial, 11AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood Street.
Friends and family are invited to attend a graveside committal service on Saturday, September 14, 10:30 AM in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bristol, RI.
