Norman Don Heflin, 34, of Louisiana, passed away on October 22, 2023.  

Born in Newport, he was the son of James and Ethel (Kunze) Heflin. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his siblings: Nicole (Juan) Colon of Bristol, James Heflin of Texas, Angelica (J.Y.) Harrison of Newport, and Carter Cox of Louisiana; and nephews Joshua Colon, Elijah Colon, Aidan Colon, Matthew Colon. 

Norman attended schools in Louisiana. He worked as a deckhand on tugboats on the Mississippi River. Norman had a smile that could light up a room. He will be remembered for his incredibly generous heart. Norman loved his family unconditionally, and he loved his nephews more than life. Most of all, he was a wonderful brother and son.
