Peter John Tavares

Peter J. Tavares, 50 of Bristol, passed away on July 13, 2020 at St. Anne's Hospital.

Born and raised in Bristol, he was the beloved son of Manuel S. Tavares III and Elizabeth (Bernard) Tavares of Bristol. He is also survived by his sister Aimee Tavares of Arlington, VA and  step-children Jennifer Medeiros of Tiverton, RI and Pamela Medeiros of Somerset, MA.

Pete graduated from Bristol High School in 1988 and was employed as an auto glass technician/glazer with Fournier & Coleman and JN Philips. He enjoyed restoring cars, spending time with his many friends and his dogs.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial ,Friday July 24th, 10 AM at St. Mary’s Church 330 Wood Street. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery
