Rene Joseph Garant, 87, of Portsmouth passed away on November 15, 2020 at Warren Skilled Nursing. He was the husband of Lorraine (Costa) Garant.
Born in Fall River MA, he was the son of the late Joseph and Marie (St. Pierre) Garant. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Ronald Garant and his wife Linda of Tiverton, RI; Marc Garant and his wife Denise of Fall River, MA; Paul Garant and his wife Judith of Fall River, MA, Diane Pelletier and her husband Robert of Warren, RI, Lynn Bellee and her husband Tim of Vermont and Judith Simons of Florida. He was the father of the late Denise Spors and his survived her husband Jerry. He also leaves behind his brother Armand Garant of Westport, MA as well as 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Mr. Garant was educated in Fall River and the owner of Garant Construction for 45 years.
His funeral services are pending at this time.
