Richard A. Silva, 64, of Fales Road, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2024, at home, with his family by his side.
Born in Providence, he was the son of Geraldine (Botelho) Silva and the late Ronald Silva, Sr. In addition to his mother, he is survived by: his son Rilyn J. Silva of Bristol; his brother Robert Silva of Exeter; and his nephews Benjamin and Kaden Silva.
He was predeceased by his older brother, Ronald Silva, Jr.
Richard was a 1978 class graduate of Bristol High School and afterwards attended the New England Technical Institute for Architectural Drawing. After serving honorably in the United States AirForce for four years, he then returned home to own and operate the Total Fitness Center, first in Warren, RI, then later in Bristol, RI. Richard worked at the Rhode Island Convention Center as a General Foreman and was a member of the Laborers Local #271 Union for over 30 years.
His funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 21, 9:30 – 10:30 AM from the George C. Lima Funeral Home, 367 High Street, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood Street.
