Robert C. Franco Obituary

Robert C. Franco, 58, of Warren, passed away on March 24, 2026, at home. He was the husband of Maria Josefina “Josie” (Da Silva) Franco.


Born in Agua do Pau, St. Michael, Azores, he was the son of the late Manuel C. and Zelia C. (Bolourinho) Franco. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his siblings: Jose M. Franco of Bristol, Ethel “Frankie” Franco of Bristol, and Mary Gibbons of Maine; stepsons: Christopher Da Silva of Taunton, MA., and Zeffrey Da Silva of West Warwick; goddaughter Sara Cordeiro of Fall River, MA.; nieces and nephews: Chase Savinon, Helen Dias, Donny Savinon, and Kenny Savinon, Brock Gibbons, and Ella Gibbons ; and great-nieces and nephews: Cecilia Dias, Luke Dias, Cole Franco, Tyler Savinon, Isabell Savinon, Cameron Savinon, Bennet Savinon, and Brooke Savinon.


He was predeceased by his first wife Dahlia Franco; siblings: Ana Savinon and Alcides Franco; and niece Cristal Franco.


Robert attended Bristol schools. He was employed by Blount Seafood as well as owning and operating Topdog Farms for over 20 years.


His funeral services will be held on Monday, March 30, 8:30 – 9:30 AM from the George C. Lima Funeral Home, 367 High Street, with a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood Street. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground.
