Rosa Herminia (Pacheco) Couto

Rosa Herminia (Pacheco) Couto, 94, passed away on May 18, 2021 at Evergreen House Health Center. She was the wife of the late Jose Inacio Couto.  

Born in Rabo de Peixe, St. Michael, Azores, Portugal, she was daughter of the late Manuel and Rosa (Brum) Pacheco.  She was the mother of Maria dos Anjos Pacheco of Bristol, Maria Fatima Ventura of Pawtucket, Connie Neves of Riverside, Rosa Couto of Riverside, Joseph Couto of Seymour CT, Charles Couto of Riverside and the late Norberto Couto.  She is also survived by her grandchildren Donna Gagnon, Tony Pacheco, Robert Pacheco, Michael Pacheco, Sherry Buckless, Ashley Ventura, Joshua Neves, Tyler Micheletti, Brianna Micheletti, Andrew Couto, Jordan Couto and Sydney Couto and great grandchildren Zachary, Brandon, Tony, Tyler, Carly, Libby, Saddie, Lila, Brock, Gabriel and David.  She was the sister of the late Etelvina Oliveira, Daniel Pacheco, Manuel Pacheco, Herminia Faria, Maria de Jesus Grilo, Engracia Miranda and Maria Olinda Camara.

Mrs. Couto was educated in Portugal and employed by R & J Jewelry before retiring.

Calling hours are Tuesday, May 25th, 10:00 – 10:45 AM in St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood Street with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11 AM.

Burial will be private.
