Theofilo Duarte Carreiro

Theofilo Duarte Carreiro, 96, of River Street away on June 30, 2020 at home.  He was the husband of the late Maria Jose (Ferreira Almeida) Carreiro.

Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Francisco and Maria dosAnjos (Ferreira) Carreiro.  He is survived by his children Gilberta Fortin and her husband Robert, Giselle Carreiro; grandchildren Jennifer Fortin, Melissa Pinelli, Justin Fortin and great grandchildren Layla Smith and Dylan Pinelli.  He was the brother of Arthur Carreiro, Maria daLuz daCosta, Alvaro Carreiro and the late Joe Carreiro.

Mr. Carreiro was educated in Portugal and employed as a custodian for the Bristol School Department before retiring.

His funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 8th, 9:30 AM from the George Lima Funeral Home 367 High Street with a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church,  577 Wood Street. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.  Masks use is required and social distancing guidelines will be followed.
