Tony Calouro

Tony Calouro, 69, of High Street passed away on October 17, 2020 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of Almerinda (Ribeiro Couto) Calouro and the late Maria Fatima (DaPonte) Calouro.  

Born in Villa Franca, Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal, he was the son of the late Jose and Clotilde (Resendes) Calouro.  He was the father of Cesar P. Calouro of Bristol, Pamela C. Calouro of Bristol and the late Milton Calouro and grandfather of Cesar Calouro, Jr, Jacob Calouro, Trayten Calouro, Damon Calouro and Khloee McNeill.  He was the brother of Maria Payne, Justina Pacheco, Joao Calouro and the late Albert Calouro.

Tony was educated in Portugal and employed as a custodian at the former Our Lady of Fatima High School before retiring.

His funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 21st, 10 AM from the George Lima Funeral Home 367 High Street with a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church 577 Wood Street. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Calling hours are Tuesday 5 – 8 PM.
