Urbana E. (Muccino) Bucolo, 88, formerly of Bristol, passed away on January 8, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Domenic E. Bucolo.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Sophie (Pysz) Muccino. She is survived by her children: Mark Bucolo of Bristol, Mary Bucolo of Bristol, and Paul (Stacy) Bucolo of New Smyrna Beach, FL; grandchildren: Richard, Anthony, and Colton; great-grandchild Amelia; and sister Norma Cipolla of Palm Coast, FL.
Mrs. Bucolo graduated from Warren High School. She was one of the first nurses to graduate from Rhode Island Hospital’s Nursing School. She later volunteered as an EMT for Bristol Fire & Rescue, and taught catechism at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Mrs. Bucolo worked in various nursing homes in Bristol and Warren as a registered nurse.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, January 28, at 11 AM at St. Mary of the Bay Church, 645 Main Street, Warren, RI. Burial will follow in St. Alexander’s Cemetery.
